I was working 8 hours- not at the office, but standing at the store. I was wearing sneakers so it could’ve been worse, but after 8 hours of work my legs got super tired and worn out. And then it hit me. Why do women have to wear heels? I mean, it would have killed my legs if I were told to wear heels today and stand up for 8 hours. But in reality, there are so many women who are obligated to wear heels during work, even if they have to be standing up for the whole day, especially at formal places or luxurious space or bars and restaurants. If you go to the mall in Japan, most women are wearing 3-5cm heels. The problem is, they don’t always choose to wear heels, they are told to wear heels by rules.<\/p>\n
