Golden Week(FYI in Japan, the beginning of May is when all the national holidays are concentrated so we use the term golden week) has officially begun, and for me I’m having 7 days off work so I decided to go for a little adventure to the new shopping spot built in MInatomirai, Yokohama called the “MARINE&WALK”. I’m sure if you live around Tokyo you’ve heard of it before. Since I went to visit, why not share! So here’s my blog report on Marine&Walk, let’s get started!<\/p>\n

Marine’Walk is located in between World Porters and Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, right in front of the beautiful ocean of Yokohama. I think the whole place is inspired by LA…… most of the shops are LA based brands or has a surf, west-coast vibe. Fred Segal for example! They also have COS, the family brand of H&M, Steven Alan, Denham, etc.<\/p>\n

Golden Week\u3068\u3044\u3046\u3053\u3068\u3082\u3042\u3063\u3066\u3001\u304b\u306a\u308a\u4eba\u306f\u591a\u3081\u3060\u3051\u3069\u3001\u666e\u6bb5\u306f\u3053\u3053\u307e\u3067\u30d1\u30f3\u30d1\u30f3\u3067\u3082\u306a\u3044\u306e\u304b\u306a\u301c\u3002\u4eba\u306f\u591a\u3044\u3051\u3069\u30b7\u30e7\u30c3\u30d4\u30f3\u30b0\u304c\u3057\u3065\u3089\u3044\uff01\u3063\u3066\u307b\u3069\u3067\u306f\u306a\u3044\u306e\u3067\u3054\u5b89\u5fc3\u3092\u3002<\/p>\n

It was packed with people but I guess that was because of Golden Week. I’m guessing there aint this many people in normal weekends.<\/p>\n

The building itself is very pretty and fashionable, good instagram spot for sure! It even feels like it’s not Japan when i’m here. Oh, here’s COS.<\/p>\n

I’ve only been to COS in Omotesando, but I felt like the one here in Yokohama was much spacious. I love their clothes because they have simple yet original clothes where you can look slightly different from other people in the office;) the price is not that cheap, but not too expensive as well…… I mean I guess it’s because COS’s target is more older than H&M’s. But even students working part-time, can definitely reach for this price. Not a sky high price at all.<\/p>\n

Fred Segal took up a huge part of this whole building so I’m guessing Fred Segal is the main shopping brand here. They’ve got two floors, both men’s and women’s. The interior is pretty as well! There is also a different line of Fred Segal mainly focusing on surf lifestyle called the Surf Village. You can get surf boards and wet suits as well as surf girl\/boy casual clothes you can wear on a daily basis.<\/p>\n

\u4e88\u7d04\u304c\u306a\u3044\u3068\u5165\u308c\u306a\u3044\u304a\u5e97\u3082\u3042\u3063\u305f\u3057\u3001\u3082\u3057\u3054\u98ef\u76ee\u7684\u3067\u6765\u308b\u306a\u3089\u4e8b\u524d\u306b\u4e88\u7d04\u307e\u305f\u306f\u6df7\u96d1\u72b6\u6cc1\u3092\u554f\u3044\u5408\u308f\u305b\u305f\u307b\u3046\u304c\u3088\u3044\u304b\u3082\uff1f<\/p>\n

I didn’t get the chance to eat\/drink at this place yesterday but I think the restaurants were so much more crowded than the shopping area. There were some places where you can’t get in without reservation so I recommend you call or research the place beforehand.<\/p>\n
