昨日のブログ記事、少し熱くなりすぎたけど、同感！ってコメントやTwitterで反応してくれた方がたくさんいてすごく嬉しかった。

 

 

 

りさはどちらかというとスタイルブログ色が強いわけで、こういう意見を求めてりさのブログを読んでくれる人は少ないかな〜、こういうのは求められてないかな〜、と思いつつも、やっぱり言いたいこと、伝えたいことがたくさんある。

 

だからそんな記事にもリアクションしてくれる読者さんがいてとってもハッピー！

りさの考えを中心に書くブログにはならないけど、たまにはこういうのも書かせてね。

 

 

 

First things first, I wanted to say thank you to those of you who read my blog post yesterday where I blabbered on and on about my definition of fashion. I know I’m not a fashion journalist and I’m more of a style blogger type, but sometimes I need to get my mind out on words and tell someone about it. I really appreciate all of your reactions toward my blog post and it made me feel confident to write more of my feelings and perspective on this blog. I won’t be writing so often about those kinds of stuff, but if I did, please feel free to agree with me or refute, either is fine;)

 

 

 

今日のブログは、眉メイクについて。♡

 

中学生、高校生時代は、かなり細眉だったんだけど

大学に入る少し前からずっと一途に太眉派。

 

そしたらなんとここ１、２年で太眉がブームになってて、わーいって思ってたんだけど

今年の夏は日本の雑誌で取り上げられてるようなレベルの太眉ではなくて、かなりオーバーな太眉がトレンド。

 

 

Today I’m going to get back to my usual blogging. I’m going to write about eyebrow makeup. I used to have very thin eyebrows, just because I was young and you know, when you’re young, you can’t help plucking eyebrows for some reason…. But then I got into Black/Latino girls and realized they all had thick, strong eyebrows, so I shifted to big eyebrows. These past 1,2 years, big eyebrows have been trending because many models and celebrities stopped plucking but instead started to fill it in with brow pencils and powders.

 

 

 

例えば、ハリウッド女優のLily Collinsの眉毛。

彼女の場合は、地眉がすごく濃くて太くて、一度も剃ったり抜いたりしたことないんだとか。

眉毛で映画のヒロインオーディションを勝ち取ったという武勇伝も！

確かに一度みたら忘れない印象よね。

 

 

For example take a look at Lily Collins. Her eyebrows are HUGE but that’s the most charming thing about her face. She even won the heroin audition for the film because of her eyebrows.

 

 

 

そして日本でも大人気の有名モデル、Cara Delevigne.

 

彼女も存在感のある太い眉毛の上にさらに眉パウダーとマスカラを加えてボリューミーなインパクト眉にしてるね、いつも。

 

Also, Cara Delevigne who is starting to become popular among young girls in Japan as well. Her big eyebrows are very voluminous and they give huge impact that you’ll never be able to forget her face after seeing her once.

 

 

あとはモデルのDaphne Groeneveldも。

個性派モデルで、離れたれ目にぽってり唇が印象的な彼女。

りさの大好きなモデルの１人！

 

 

Don’t forget about Daphne, my favorite model. Her sleepy eyes and big lips are so unique and I love her in every way. Her eyebrows are big too.

 

 

眉毛が太いと、目との距離も狭くなるからか瞳が強調されて大きく見える効果もあるの。

あとは、顔の面積を眉毛がとってくれるから、小顔効果も！

 

りさは単純に、好きな黒人ガールズやラテンガールズがみんなつり上がってる太眉だから真似して始めたんだけど、細眉時代の写真とかを見ると顔が全然違う。

眉毛の与える印象ってめっちゃ大きいよね！

 

眉毛が薄いと顔も薄く見えるし、活気がないアンヘルシーなイメージになってしまいがち。

太く、濃くメイクをすることでエネルギー溢れるはつらつとした印象になると思う♪

 

 

I’m not exactly sure why, but big eyebrows make your eyes look bigger as well as making your face look smaller. Eyebrow magic!! Looking at my old pictures, my face looks so different when the only thing changed is the width of my eyebrows. Thin eyebrows make you look unhealthy and sad… but by drawing them wider and darker, it gives you the energetic, vibrant look.

 

うんうん、分かるよ。

最初はね、眉毛いじるの怖いよね。

太いと、くれ○んしんちゃんみたいとか、海苔ついてるよ、とか言われそうだよね。

 

りさの経験上、日本人の男受けはあまり期待出来ない。

というか、全然期待出来ない。（笑）

 

りさは信念を持って、太眉を推してるから自信満々に毎日せっせと眉毛を書いてる。

そして、誰になんと言われようと、動じない。w

 

メイクだってなんだって、自分の「理想」を貫いて、それに近づくことを目標にすれば周りの目なんか気にならない！

 

彼氏のため、可愛いって言われるため・・・ってメイクするのも１つの大きなモチベーションだけど、

 

誰かのためじゃなくて、自分のためにメイクするのも楽しいものだよ♡

I know it’s scary at first to try a new look, especially on your face. It is scary because you know exactly who is going to come up to you and say “Why do you have seaweed on your brows?:DDD” with a big smile on their faces because THEY ARE ALWAYS THE SAME PEOPLE WHO DIS OTHER PEOPLE. And you get embarrassed. But you know what, don’t even give a f*ck. I go up to my mirror and everyday I get that bobbi brown make up brush and fill in my eyebrows till it reaches 3cm width. So what. It’s your face, do what you want. Wearing makeup on to impress your boy friend or anyone else, to get complements from your followers on Instagram- those are good enough reasons, but sometimes, you can wear your makeup for yourself. And it’s sometimes very fun to do so.
